VIDEO CONTENT ON WEBSITES IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER
With Google owning Youtube, Google will be searching for video content more than ever. Business websites with video content will receive top priority. In short, when Google searches for videos it makes money on the advertising in and around those videos because it also owns Youtube. Nothing like scratching your own back but it’s the reality of internet marketing. Video content is also extremely important in the social media worlds, which has became a source of life with many business taking advantage of this world wide trend that looks like it's here to stay.
After the Youtube acquisition by Google, Google Video started returning search results from YouTube along the Google Video results.

As most search engine optimization (SEO) experts are aware, getting a first-page Google result is harder than ever. Not only do Google’s search and indexing
algorithms continue to evolve in complexity, but Google has given over more and more of its search results real estate to “blended” search results,
displaying videos and images towards the top of the first page, and pushing down—and sometimes off the page—traditional web results that would have otherwise competed for top rankings.
